Whale spotted eating curry on Cam
BROADCASTER James Whale joined celebrity chef Loyd Grossman for a curry on the Cam yesterday.
The Sony award-winning TV and radio presenter was visiting Cambridge to promote Britain's Biggest Curry Party, which raises money for the James Whale Kidney Cancer Fund.
James, who set up the charity after surviving kidney cancer, is calling on people across the UK to hold a fundraising curry evening at home, in a restaurant or village hall in aid of vital research funds.
The event is supported by Loyd, a former Masterchef presenter turned pasta sauce maker, who is studying for a master's degree in the history of art at Magdalene College.
